The area is located a few kilometres north of Tynset. Here are several habitats: from pine- and spruce forest to bare rock. Mountain birch forests are still the most dominant. The area offers beautiful hikes and has a rich wildlife. There are farming activities in the area. Fishing is suitable for all ages.

River Lona:
Small idyllic river. Here you can fish for trout. Fish is not too large, but chances are good for success. Ideal for families. Fishing Tip: use worms on a long rod.
Lake Lonsjøen:
Medium-sized water holding trout and char of varying size. Perfect to fish from the shore. Good fishing using lures, spinners and flies.
Lake Milskifttjønna:
Long and narrow pond with great scenery. Trout and char in all sizes, including some really fine. Suitable for all types of fishing.
Lake Flo tjønna:
Recently cultivated trout water, this means that the stocks are improving. Suitable for all types of fishing.

Licenses can be purchased either by: Internet, SMS (see notice at the river) or local outlets (sport shops, camp sites, etc)
Fishing Rules
Fishing season: all year. Closure for trout from September 15th until October 13th.
Permitted with flies, lures, worms, but not with small fish.
The license is strictly personal and not transferable. The fishing license is not valid without identification.
Children under 16 fish for free but must otherwise comply with the regulations.
Violations of the regulations may result in prosecution.
Other information
Show respect for the cultivated land. Do not walk over fields.
Take all rubbish home. The environment is a shared responsibility.
Use as much as possible the marked parking spaces.
Show respect for buildings and public access.
Some roads require to pay toll. Follow the information signs!
Keep your dog on a leash, there is cattle around.
