The area around Dalsbygda and Forollhogna is known for its excellent stocks of prime quality trout. A great place for those who love trout! Besides excellent fishing the mountain areas offer wonderful scenery and nature.

Lake Forollsjøen (altitude 993 m) is the most important lake in  Forollhogna National Park. It also produced the biggest fish in the area. It takes approx. an hour to walk from the road. There is parking at the head of Såttåhaugen Vangrøftdalen. Suitable for those who have the patience to wait for one of the big trout. Lure fishermen will love it here.

Dalsbygda - Dalsbygda fishing area
This area has many opportunities for fishing in rivers, streams, ponds and lakes. If you want trout with red meat, you should visit Lake Hanksjøene.  Lake Ålitjønnan is a good option if you want to combine fishing and hiking.  Lake Langtjønna holds a population of char.

Dalsbygda - Lake Fjellsjøen
A beautiful, green and long stretched mountain lake, 974 meters above sea level. Drains both north and south to River Gaula and to River Glomma. This nutritious lake holds a good trout population. An hour's walk from the road.

Dalsbygda - Lake Sætersjøen
Lake Sætersjøen (806 meters above sea level) is a large lake. Easy accessible from the road along the west side of the lake. Good with fish of all sizes. The fish has red flesh colour.

Dalsbygda - Vangrøfta fishing area
Here you will find many waters of varying size and character: Lake Langen, Lake Måssåtjønna, Lake Stortjønna, Lake Store Djupsjøen and Lake Lille Djupsjøen.  In addition there is  Lake Grunntjønna on the border with the Tolga community  where one can find fishing spots accessible for disabled fishermen. All waters hold trout.  Excellent opportunities for family fishing, the chance to catch fish is great even if they are not all that big.

Dalsbygda - Østgård fishing area
This area has several smaller ponds and waters that can be well worth a visit. Several of these can be fished with the fly rod and are certainly an alternative to river Vangrøfta. One don't need to say much more ...
